Basice Requiem Online Guides for Beginners
February 11, 2009 06:26 PM PST

As a new Requiem online player, you may don't know how to work in game. So before you starting, you should some basice Requiem online guides for your adventure. The below is some basice knowledge for new people. Enjoy it...

Introduction

Requiem Bloodymare is for mature players. This game will take you into a dark world of bloodshed created by abuse of experiments. Your goal in this game is to fight against the monsters that stalk the cursed land, and group together with your allies to survive and the bloodthirsty creatures that only prowl at night. Use a wide selection of weapons and the mysterious powers of Beast Possession to strike down your enemies and destroy evil. Requiem Online offers a new approach to the MMOPRG gameplay with its dark atmosphere and tense, fighting styles.

Gameplay:

The Gameplay of Requiem is a mix between WoW and Ragnarok, mainly because it is somewhat like a Arcade type fighting mmo with the Rpg feel to go with it. You can customize your character to anyway you like with so many different ranges of weapons, and armor to choose from. The game is respectively a huge grindfest but the graphics and the intensity makes up for it.

DNA System: The DNA system requires items to be placed into your DNA, which really makes it another piece of equipment that only modifies your characters reaction. This great new feature also allows a great variety of change to your character depending on your performance.

Beast System: The main feature in Requiem is the so called "Beast System" or "Possesion Beast System". Once you reach the level required, you can perform a quest that gives you the ability to transform into a "Nightmarish Beast". The beasts powers are determined by the way it was created with various pieces of the beast system. There is huge diversity in the creation of these beasts mainly because of the vast amount of combinations. Once the Beast Master gauge is full (by slaying monsters) you can morph into the beast that you have created.
***Hint: you are able to buy these pieces to create your beast from other players.

PvP System: The PvP System, like I explained before, is a battleground somewhat like Ragnarok Online with a battle variety from 8 against 8 to 96 against 96. It takes alot of time to balance out your players first before heading into the arenas. The team that wins receives upgrades for their character.

Instances: Instances also better known as "Raids" in WoW, which i also explained earlier. You have the ability to team up with players and fight high level bosses using your whole team as a back up. It takes a lot of preparation and time to defeat bosses in Instances, but give you great rewards like Upgrades.

Characters

TURAN

Strength Balanced strength, agility, and intelligence.

Weakness Low resistance against magic.

Characteristic Turans are the representative race of Ethergia, and although they don't have any distinctively outstanding strengths, they are renown for their tenacity and solidarity. They are a rational race that upholds justice, preferring balanced and harmonized combat styles, quick movements, and agility over the use of brute force. They are also adept at learning the other races' abilities, adapting the divine magic of the Xenoas for their own use.

Combat Style Turans are mediocre in terms of strength and spirit, but they excel in agility, learning, and intelligence. These qualities enable them to learn and utilize a great variety of skills. They are a highly moral race, so Turans tend to use humane skills that do not unnecessarily torture their enemies in battle.

Relationship with Other Race The Turan and Bartuk races utilized fighting styles dependent on skills based on physical strength early in their histories. However, the Turans eventually began to also develop a more balanced combat style since the Bartuks were much physically stronger than them. During the era of the Xenon Empire, many Turans studied divine magic and became adepts. They are naturally opposed to the dark magic wielding Kruxenas, and are weak to their magic attacks.

Bartuk

Strength High Strength and Solidarity

Weakness Low Spirit, Susceptible Minds

Characteristic Bartuks are gifted with enormous physical power, but tend to be spiritually weak. They are easily enraged against their enemies, a serious weakness that is sometimes exploited to make them lose control. Bartuks are absolutely generous to their allies, and fight alongside them with a strong sense of solidarity. They make their decisions simply: assist the friend, smash the enemy. Magic wielding Bartuks are generally limited to the black arts and fire magic, and lack the intelligence to use most sophisticated magic.

Combat Style Bartuks focus on strength based physical weapon combat, foregoing shields to use heavy Two-Handed Weapons. Bartuk magic is usually limited to curse magic or low level support magic. However, Bartuk magic is unfamiliar to the other races, making it difficult for the other races to counter Bartuk spells.

Relationship with Other Race Bartuks have a deep seated hatred toward the Xenoas since they've been historically dominated by them, but now they know how to exploit the Xenoas' weaknesses. Bartuks can cooperate with the Kruxenas, but loathe the Turans and Xenoas.

Kruxena

Strength Physical and Spiritual Superiority

Weakness Won't cooperate with other races. Lack compassion and tenacity, and are inhumane.

Characteristic Kruxenas are endowed with both strong strength and spirit: they can use short and long range weapons, and can become skillful in magic. They are brutal and cold hearted since they are a race created for the purpose of destruction, and will even sacrifice their companions to accomplish their ends. Kruxenas have no qualms over mutilating their enemies, and tend to be antisocial.

Combat Style Warrior classes use light, short range weapon to perform quick strikes, supplemented by DOT attacks. They can also use long range weapons in preemptive attacks. Magician classes use DOT magic to curse and poison enemies, but they are more vulnerable than the warrior classes.

Relationship with Other Race Kruxenas were created by the ancient Natsu race to be humanoid weapons. They are unfriendly to all other races, except for Batuks since they share some of the same genes. Their wickedness and contempt starkly contrast with the more compassionate Turans.

XENOA

Strength High intelligence level, swiftness and visual power.

Weakness Small Body, Low Physical Strength

Characteristic Xenoas have an unmatched high intelligence. In spite of their low physical power, they have good hand-skills and eyesight. To make up for their weakness, they have upgraded their long-distance attacks and knowledge-based magic. Xenoas keep the order base on religion, faith and authority. To become the leader of the race, one should show the power of faith to the public. Xenoas believe that they are superior to other races, and are selective, disregarding other races. Currently, the Xenoa is a minority race. But their knowledge of science is very high. Xenoa magic has been developed in a way so that the Xenoas can effectively protect themselves. But some of the magic is for attacking off-guard enemies. Due to its small body, a Xenoa is good at long-range attacks or traps. Its skills of healing or detecting are stronger than the ones of other races. Rather than direct magic attack, Xenoas are excellent in support magic. A Xenoa would even sacrifice itself to cast a huge magic attack.

Combat Style Due to poor physical ability, Xenoas prefer long-range attack styles. Their magic is mainly based on the power and spirit of faith.

Relationship with Other Race Xenoas are very intelligent and tend to disregard other races. But a Xenoa also has the wisdom to hide it. They are also good at manipulating; their magic power is unmatched by the other races.

Force Shielder FAQ in Cabal online
February 11, 2009 06:14 PM PST

Do you know Force Shielder in Cabal online? Do you want to know some FAQs of Force Shielder? OK, here i collect this guide and hope it can help you in game. Hope you like it:

Part ONE : WarShy's Force Shielder FAQ v.1.3

General Tips and FAQ...stuff I've heard a million and one times...
Hotkeys to know
-T, opens quest list
-K, opens skills list
-I, opens inventory
-C, opens character info
-1 through = are hotkeys for your skills/moves you can customize it the way you want. By pressing F1, F2, etc. you can change between multiple customized bars.
-Spacebar, this allows you to quickly pick up loot off the floor...for some reason not many people seem to know this. I hear a lot of complaints against looters, but even if you're a wizard or archer, you should still be able to press the spacebar when you kill your opponent and are making a run for it.

Q. How do I get skills?
A. Every time you use your current skills, you fill up a bar. When the bar is complete, you get 1 skill point. As you gain more and more skill points, you will eventually rank up to the next lvl for skills. As you progress up the ranks, the skills become more and more powerful.

Q. What are the dummies for?
A. To make you lag...nah I'm just kidding. The first time I logged on and went in that area, it scared the crap out of me. I thought there was some kind of war going on...with me as a lvl 1 shielder...oh man those were the days. For those that don't know, the dummies are located in Northwest of the Bloody Ice colony...right next to the warp gate. The location of the dummies has been petitioned over and over again to be moved or taken out completely. This will most likely be the place where you will get the most disconnections or slowdown. It has been noted that in the Korean version, only lvl 70+ characters can use the dummies...which leads many of us to think that the restriction in the beta has been taken off because they want us testers to get skills quickly so we can test them out. Anyway, the dummies themselves DO NOT give any regular exp...but it is a good place to get SKILL exp. The reason there is so many people there is that people that away can just leave their computer on while their character spams skills. You are probably thinking that these people are probably cheaters/botters or something. Actually if you just click on the dummy and get something to hold down the hotkey, you'll keep using the skill over and over again. I've seen pictures of people using huge batteries to hold down the key, personally I just use a bag with some coins in it. Be creative...devious even smiley Also, from what I've heard, the dummies actually can die. I've never personally seen it though. There was one time where I saw a dummy close to dying so I started beating it down with other people...after 30 mins I gave up. I went on a few quests in Bloody Ice and came back...only to see that the dummy still stood...madness. Other players have reported that when they die, they sometimes drop extract potions. These potions basically just take a point out of your attributes (str, int, dex) and allow you to allocate them into your skills. I've personally never seen one...T_T Also many new players will fuss about saving skill points...to those people, don't worry about it. Next to the + button is a ?C button. The ?Cbutton will extract your skill points back out for a price. The price usually isn't that much, money doesn't seem to be a hard thing to come by. Also it has been theorized that the higher rank and lvl the skill, the more skill exp you get. From personal experience I believe this is correct.

Q. Holy Crap! A monster just dropped like a million alz! Is this a bug?
A. No...for the 12301291th time...this isn't a bug...tiger, you just hit the jackpot! Sometimes when you're lucky, a monster will randomly drop multiple piles of alz. Don't ask questions, just pick it up!

Q. What is the lottery for?
A. If you press on your character and press menu, a option for lot (lottery) will pop up. If you play WoW, you would know that this is just to roll for a item when you are partying. That's is, nothing special.

Q. I can't log into the game! AHHHHHH!
A. Have you been accepted as a beta tester yet? If not, go apply for it. If you're accepted, you will get a email.

Q. How can I get a cape!
A. I personally don't have a cape, but I'm told they randomly drop from those insanely strong trees and mosquito things in Green Despair...I could be wrong on this one. You can't really take them on until your at least lvl 50 though...

Q. How can I lvl up quickly?
A. The fastest way to level up in this game is to do quests. Quests will net you exp at a ridiculous rate. Grinding will get you exp, but not as much as a quest. Quests range from such things as meeting someone, collecting quest items, transporting quest items, or completing a dungeon. I believe you also get stat points when you lvl up your skill ranks. In my opinion a Force Ring also helps. A Force ring will give you a percentage of health and/or Mana back every time you do a normal attack against a opponent. Personally I had a ring that gave me back 2% in both health and mana, I really didn't need my regeneration spell anymore until I needed to survive in a high lvl area. Having an item that gives you back mana is useful because that allows you to use your powerful skills even more.

Q. What is the growth requirement?
A. It's just a requirement for your attributes to do special quests. Say the growth requirement say STR 1, INT 4, DEX 2, you need to get your stats to either match or exceed those quantities. When this is met, a new quest should open up. Also sometimes you will acquire items that give you a +1 in an attribute. Example would be a amulet of blessing, it gives a +1 to STR, INT, and DEX. However this +1 does not contribute to your growth requirement, so using the example above, if your stats at STR 1, INT 3+1, DEX 2, you will not be able to do the special quest until that INT becomes a 4+1...whew

Q. What do STR, INT, and DEX affect?
A. It's kinda sketchy but I believe str affects your raw physical dmg and hp, int increase your mana pool, and dex increases your accuracy rate and dodge rate. Again this is all speculation.

Q. What are those numbers in parenthesis?
A. If you look at your character description while attacking an enemy with a skill, you might notice a number in parenthesis next to your regular number. Example would be...
Attack 100 (200)
200 is the approx dmg you should be inflicting on enemies with that particular skills. Depending on dmg amp and add dmg, this number will change according. The 100 is your raw dmg that you achieve without your skills, basically your normal attack.

Q. Where are the Highzards and Amarku+?
A. For some quests, you will have to face these two extremely rare monsters. I didn't know where they were at all, but found them because there were spawn campers (CS?) at their spawning areas. Highzards look like Bugzards, but have flames coming out of them. They are located in Green Despair around the area the Bugzards are. If you are in the Bugzard ??village,?? it is the little island path next to a building. The building is a quest area where your icon will turn into a ??speech bubble?? icon. The Amarku+ looks exactly like the regular Amarku, but is bigger. They are located in Desert Scream and spawn close to the hill next to the research dungeon. The dungeon is between the mummy graveyard and where the giant cobras spawn.

Q. What do the colors of the monster mean?
A. The color tells you if you have a chance of winning or not. As the tank character, you can mob anything yellow and below (weaker yellow, gray, dark gray) However anything above (orange, dark orange, red) it would be best to cast regen before facing them. At most, you can face around approx 5 orange without an aura, but only if you spam skills. Don't even try attacking a red monster, you'll do almost no dmg, get almost no exp, and will be able to super size your pain for only 49 cents...damn right...

Q. Why can't I use X weapon?
A. Either the weapon is not made for the class, or the requirements haven't been met. Say you have an Iron Sword in your inventory that you want to switch to. The only way to equip it is if all your stats either match or exceed the requirements. Also all weapons and armor have + version of themselves. I don't know what the max is, I've seen equipment as high as +6. However the more + it is, the higher the requirements are. The Iron Sword+5 has higher stat requirements then the regular Iron Sword.

Q. What are honor points for?
A. It?s for crafting. I believe you are allowed to craft at lvl 50. Whenever you craft something, you must give up some honor points.

Q. How do I take pictures ingame?
A. I didn't know this until today. I was using a third party one until now. However in Cabal it doesn't work. To take pictures you must press the Prnt Scrn button. When you press it, it will automatically save to the cabal dictionary.

Q. Will this game be f2p?
A. No this game will not be f2p(free to play) it will be p2p(pay to play)

Q.Why doesn?t Alt+Tab work?
A. It?s to stop cheaters from...well cheating. Many programs require you to start the game before they can be used. The Alt+Tab feature might be put back in future versions though when they implement the real internet security in ob.

Q. I want to ask you something important!
A. If it's a mistake in my FAQ or description for shielder moves, PM me, otherwise don't bother me. There's a reason I'm not a GM or Game Advisor. If somehow, my FAQ doesn't cover it, then go post a thread somewhere.

Force Shielder FAQ in Cabal online
February 11, 2009 06:12 PM PST

Cabal Online Guide: How 2 Slotted Item Drop works
February 11, 2009 06:09 PM PST

As a Cabal online players, do you know How 2 Slotted Item Drop works. why do you get crappy items. OK, read the following information and you will see.

The SET :

As you all know , in order to be a proficient 2 slot item finder , you need a good 2 slot drop set. No matter how much you wear (in quantity) you DO modify the drop rate. The only problem is that the drop rate becomes visible after a certain amount of 2SlotItem Drop gear. You might not see any increase up until 30 or so .. but i assure you, some have found 2 slotted items even WITHOUT having to increase the drop rate by using such a set .. That's why i'm saying , you only increase the chances of dropping one , but in the end , it's still a matter of luck , if you drop one or not. But chances DO INCREASE .

Let's move on.

The Explanation :

How to interpret this increase.

Example : If i have 2.5 times drop ... that means that instead of the normal 1.0 drop (the 100%) i now have 2.5 times ..(that's a 250% - 100% = 150% increase).

So now , my drop rate for 2 slotted items has increased by 150% up to a total value of 2.5 times .. (250%)

When you do the math , you have to apply the formula to EACH ITEM .. not to the total .. so each item value will have to be reduced by 1.0 ..

That will make the whole set of 51 become :

51 Times minus 1.0 from each item (to remove the base drop) => 51 - 13 items *1.0 = 38 Times INCREASE (besides the basic drop rate)

Total Absolute Value : 51 Times (including base)
Total Real Value after applying formula : 38 Times INCREASE
Total Interpretation : 38 Times Increase = +3800%

Total Drop Rate : 100% Base Drop Rate for 2 slot items + 3800% = 3900% Actual Drop rate for 2 Slot Items.

Ok , so now we know that with a perfect set , the INCREASE is 3800% , making the TOTAL drop rate 3900% (including the base 100%)

Reading the values :

Now , let's take an example as follows (this is NOT A REAL situation , it's hypothetical):

This means that out of the whole 100% drop from an Auto Cannon-EX for example you can get the percentages in the right.

Now , that's the whole 100% drop ...

In normal situations you would have a 5% chance of getting a 2 Slotted Titanium ...

BUT ! That's ALL TITANIUMS ...

That's why 5% = 2 Slotted Titanium (Martialsuit , Martialboots , Martialglove , Martialhelm, Armorsuit , Armorboots, Armorglove, Armorhelm, Battlesuit, Battleglove, Battlehelm, Battleboot , Katana, Blade , Daikatana, GreatSword)

That means 5% represents 16 types of 2 slotted titaniums.

From that 5% , each double slotted titanium has 0.31% ..

0.31% * 16 = 5%

That means that out of the whole 100% Drop from the mob , a 2 slotted item (a single item not the whole titanium category) has a chance of ONLY 0.3% to drop.

My set would increase that chance by 38 times ... making it (0.3% + 0.3% * 38) = 0.003 + 0.114 = 0.117 = 11.7%

That means that when i kill a mob , i have a chance of 11.7% of getting the desired titanium item.

BUT ! That doesn't mean that from 100 mobs killed , i get 11.7 titaniums 2 slotted.

No , because at each kill , the drop counter resets , so for 1 million mobs killed , each of them has the 14.4% chance of giving me the item.

But if i am unlucky and at each roll i end up in the 89.3% area that doesn't give me the 2 slotted item , i could kill 1 million mobs and still get nothing.

This info is in NO WAY official , it's just the best logical explanation that i could deduct after killing so many mobs ..

2 Slot Item Drop DOES NOT STACK in parties , meaning that the guy dealing the most damage will influence the drop.

ALZ DOES STACK in parties (also tested by Titan) but you have to be in the same area of killing (as when getting XP).

Expenses guide in Cabal Online
February 11, 2009 05:48 PM PST

Most people like money. Yes, we can buy lots of things by money. In Cabal online, we also need to save Cabal online gold to buy advanced items. But do you know how to save money in cabal online? If you want to know, read the following information:

First of, your sources of income:

1. Quests. This is the main and steady source of alz throughout the game. The rewards may seem small at first but they get bigger as you increase in lvl, reaching sums towards 1-2kk per quest towards the end. Main line story and additional quests end at lvl 99, so don't count on them as a permanent source of income. You will get a few quests after that but they're either for a map code or just a free entry item type quest.

2. Drops. This is the permanent source of income but it's not steady because all drops are based on luck in Cabal and the drops will become scarce as you increase in lvl.

Here is a list of stuff you should keep and a list of the stuff you should NPC:

Keepers:

- All types of cores. Some you will want to sell, others you'll want to keep for later use.
- Chaos lamps. If you're feeling lucky, open them. If you want pure cash, sell them/NPC them. I'm including them here because I personally open them all but looking back, NPCing would have brought same if not more alz.
- Raw platinum, royal fixer, event formula card. You can combine these with 100% success rate and sell them as entry items, or sell the materials individually.
- Items with filled slots. Something like x2.5 2 slot item drop is pretty good even if it's really low grade.
- DT cards. The drop rate for these has went down and the demand has went up.
- basic craft materials. Hard shell, blue feather etc.
- professional craft materials, disks and shapes
- Formula cards. If it's not in NPC, it's probably worth a few good millions, so keep it for yourself or sell it. Most valuable/ in demand ones are .050 and .075
- Rings of Luck +2, even +1, and Critical rings.
- Odd circles. Free users can get these now from a few helper quests. Don't use them at low lvls, it's a waste. Either save them for chaos arena or tougher dungeons, or sell them to other players.
- Slotted titanium armors and weapons and phyrestine orbs and crystals. +0 is needed for crafting and +1 or higher for filling the slots for crafting. Something with +0 and 2 clean slots can be worth quite a lot as it's needed for crafting the proof item and passing to the next lvl of crafting.
- Extract potions. You're going to need some of these for yourself and in case you don't, someone else will buy them from you.
- World entry items. Map parts, Muster Card Ruina Station, Epaulette of the dead b1f/b2f, Seal of Darkness, Muster Card Forgetten Temple. Personal use or resale
- Plate of honor, which you might get at lower lvls from openning a chaos lamp.
- Epaulettes, of fighter, guardian or sage. If they're too low for you to use them, sell them to other players.
- Slot extender low, medium or high. Low is pretty sought after, medium is pretty commom now, and the high version is worth a lot of alz on all servers.
- Plasma coating kit, this can also be found in a chaos lamp at lower lvls now and you'd be temped to NPC it for 2 mil, but you can sell it for up to x10 on the market
- Astral board. Not much to say here. Everyone pretty much knows what they look-like and it's the reason why many sell everything they have to get one.

Not worth storing:

- regular armor or weapons, even slotted or upgraded. Until lvl 50, you can only NPC these kind of drops, however after that you get your transmuter and you can crush the items to get material cores and 1/4 of the NPC buy-back value. Lowest grade of armor you can crush is aramid or shadowsteel, citrine orbs and crystals, and lvl +30 jewels.
- NPC formula cards. If you're really desperate for alz, you could try to sell them, but my advice is to save time and NPC them.

Secondly, expenses:

1. Skills and upgrades. Each rank and the upgrades that are available with it cost up to tens of millions so you'd be advised to save some money in advance. Read your class section for skill guides and upgrade picks from more experienced players.

2. Armors and weapons. Don't worry much about armors or weapons until about lvl 40, when you can start wearing adept. Get a full adept set and the matching jewelry as soon as you can wear it. It pays to get a +4 skill exp set or +3 with a slot and upgraded it to +5/6 and wear it until you reach trans. It's cheaper to upgrade aramid/shadowsteel than it is to upgrade bluestine or titanium. +4 skill exp is also cheaper with aramid/shadowsteel than it is with bluestine or titanium, but if you can craft yourself a better adept set or someone in your guild or buddy list will give you a discount, go for it.
If you plan on heavy skilling at lower to mid lvls, don't upgrade your weapons so that you can combo more on the same mobs. Upgrade your jewelry as soon as you reach the lvl for it and go for a guardian epaulette rather than a fighter/sage one.
I'd suggest to skip bluestine completely. Titanium is only worth getting if it's a good or max craft, or has amp in gloves. Titanium is cheap to upgrade and to extend, so it's not a bad investment. Shadowtitanium is also skipable unless it's good/max craft or amp in slot. Osmium is what almost everyone focuses on because of good def/def rate and because it's easier to craft than higher grades. Shineguard, Terragrace and Mystic are mainly used because of higher def/def rate in places where it's harder to stay alive than it is to kill. Mihtril is the last gear, pretty rare, and almost impossible to get anything good crafted or in slot. Very expensive to upgrade and so far impossible to extend, it's mostly for reaching a defense threshold after which a particular mob does minimal damage on you.
Titanium and phyrestine weapons can be pretty good if they're max craft, +7 and extended. Aqua and shadowtitanium deathblow are the most affordable higher grade weapons at the moment. Lapis and osmium are better but the spike in price is pretty high and few can afford them. Topaz, redosium and mithril are mostly used to compensate for the lower attack/magic from a lower grade weapon with a good craft bonus.

3. Things you think you need but really don't.

- An astral board. If you can afford to buy one from cash shop, it's ok, but wasting a few weeks or more to gather alz just to buy one from someone else in game is a waste of time. Skills and armor are far more important than buying this.
- Makeovers. Again, if you can afford to buy it from cash shop, no problem. But if you can't, don't throw away alz just to change a few pixels. Personally, I'd only consider buying a hair kit if it involved removing all the hair from my character's head.

Hope this guide will help you make a few decisions about what is worth buying and what is worth chucking away.

OK, that's all. Hope this guide will help you make a few decisions about what is worth buying and what is worth chucking away. What's more, you can save enough money to enhance your character.
